Teenagers or Adults : In general, who do you think have more freedom these days?
Adults:
Yes, being an adult comes with responsibilities, but as long as you're not living at home with your parents, they cannot tell you what to do.
You are responsible for yourself.
I much rather have bills to pay and what have you then have my parents give me a curfew or have to answer to them for everything I do.Teenagers or Adults : In general, who do you think have more freedom these days?
I'd say adults, while you're a teenager you don't have any freedom, because your parents are responsible for you legally, ergo you're under there control. Adults can also make more decisions, like drinking. Where as teenagers aren't supposed to be making that decision (they still do it though)Teenagers or Adults : In general, who do you think have more freedom these days?
I cant talk for others, but I know I have more freedom then my parents did, mostly because parents have that thinking of wanting better for their kids then what they had, they don't want their kids to have it as had as they did when they were growing up.
In a way teenagers do, because they do not have as many responsibilities as most adults do. However, adults can do many things that teenagers can not do.
Teenagers, they like to be more independent and they don't pay attention to their parents so they have more freedom, and less responsibilities
Teenagers do. No responsibilities and don't have to worry about the right job and bills.
I would say teenagers have more freedom. I know my parents are much more trapped in their lives than I am.
adults
Nope, getting tighter everyday...
Teenagers--no bills.
good question.

About how many teenagers are depressed?
It feels like there are a lot of teenagers who are depressed. I was wondering if there was a fact that gives the amount of teenagers
depressed?
like E.g. 1 in 5 teens are depressedAbout how many teenagers are depressed?
http://www.teendepression.org/articles5.鈥?/a>About how many teenagers are depressed?
Honestly all teens are depressed in their own way. Everyone gets sad and many teens have no idea how to handle that sadness and most go into a phase of depression.
Mm...
Teenagers are angsty little critters. I wouldn't be surprised if your made-up statistic turned out to be true. :P
idk but i am depressed but i have post partum depression (the kind u get after having a baby if u didnt know im not trying to be rude)
A lot of teens THINK they are depressed.
We all have sad angsty feelings at times...i think ';depressed'; is an over-used adjective.maybelline

Do you thin teenagers more stability or more courage and freedom?
what do u think?Do you thin teenagers more stability or more courage and freedom?
more stability. having a strong foundation (family/friends) creates a perfect platform for successful things, but unforunately the majority of teenagers do not have this, resulting in rebellious acts that are damaging their lives and the people around them.

Are all seaside towns in England full of bored teenagers loitering in the evening, or just a few?
ALL!
Just like any town.
Edit: hehe and kudos to the above two posters for reading my mind! Are all seaside towns in England full of bored teenagers loitering in the evening, or just a few?
I think you will find that it is all cities, towns and villages in the country that are full of bored teenagers loitering in the eveningsAre all seaside towns in England full of bored teenagers loitering in the evening, or just a few?
Most towns have this problem, but it's even more noticeable in tacky so-called holiday resorts. The best seaside towns are always the picturesque ones with few amenities like Filey and Llandudno.
True accept for Brighton (where I live). There's a high student demographic here so there's always something going on. Very rarely do I see chavs loitering in the street. Thankfully.
Just seaside towns? I thought it was every town
No,that would be all towns.
No, not in Looe, Cornwall : )
YES!

Why do Israeli teenagers want to be Irish?
There is discussion about approaching the Middle east peace similar to the irish approach. I am a Jew, and I don't think it is right for palestinians standard of living to be so much lower than Israeli's. Having said that, i believe Israel has compromised (Gaza) enough and that most Arabs will not be happy until all jews are dead or in the US. Misunderstanding on both sides. Well, Golda Meir had a point when she said Jews were the only people with bad enough luck to get the piece of the ME with no oil. Separate countries are required, I think.
Maybe a writer in Time Mag. had it right when he (tongue in cheek) said if everyone hates you for 1000 years, ok, but 5000+ years, maybe you should change! And I am a proud Jew.Why do Israeli teenagers want to be Irish?

Because the IRA has disarmed, and it's more peaceful in Ireland.

Are there only teenagers on this website where are the adults?
where are the mature adults since myspace has
dominated the internet i see nothing but teenagers on this website. i can tell by the
questions you ask.Are there only teenagers on this website where are the adults?
Yes I'm a mature adult age 36, and I agree some of the questions and some of the answers that are given are very inappropriate for kids to view. Are there only teenagers on this website where are the adults?
yeah lots of kids but us oldies are here too ...48
I'm closing in on 40, personally. However, I do agree that this forum seems to be dominated by teenagers -- or, at least, teenagers and adults with the thought processes and vocabulary of teenagers.
I am an adult, almost thirty..married...
My guess is that most adults with the necessary computer skills and ambition to answer serious questions are on other, more serious forums... When you turn a forum into a type of game you tend to attract a more immature element.
%26lt;-------BTW, that pic is deceiving. I am actually old. Just turned 28 the other day :(
I'm 50ish. And yet, still imbecilic %26amp; dogmatic enough to be *mistaken* for a teenager!
no -we are alive and kicking!
I am an adult and I answer in hopes of offsetting the dumb answers. By the way I don't enjoy myspace or facebook.
I'm an adult. But I can see what you mean.
I'm 35.
I'm 32, does that qualify?
I guess I'm an adult....four grown children and seven grandchildren.
I'm an adult. (38). I agree that there seems to be a lot of teenagers on here, but there are also a lot of immature adults who really need to read more on here too.
24, when people first meet me they think I look a few years younger than I am, but act a few years older than my actual age. No offense, but are you an adult? The grammar throws me off a bit.
That's true.
They're in the kiddie porn section.
Hi, I'm an adult by most standards. 24 married with children.
:-)
I'm 28. I only answer questions in a few categories and always use complete sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation. I also use the spell check that is available, although, I've noticed that most people don't. I like to think that I'm an intelligent person and try to portray that in my answers.
I am legally an adult (20), but I often get mistaken for older because I refuse to use NetSpeak, shortcuts and overused slang. I prefer being able to, you know, intelligently communicate with people.
23 almost 24, usually mistaken for much older online!

Military programs for teenagers?
I am 14 and looking for military programs. I found Sea Cadets, but that is for the navy. Does anyone know of any army programs? Thanks.Military programs for teenagers?
WestPoint sent you an excellent link. That looks excellent!
There is an organization called the young Marines. But that is a more year round local thing. It does not mean that when signing up later you can't just sign up for the Army.
Look into if your school sytem offers JROTC, It could either be Army or Airforce. But again you are free to join whatever when the time comes. If you stick with it you might even get a college scholarship out of it.... or entrance into one of the academies.
A lot of the military schools offer a military summer camp during the summer. I have a friend who had a kid who was 14 and a total miscreant. And he got him into this two month summer program at a school and he took to it like a duck in water. He returned after and walked and talked like a man. That was a while ago but now he is in the Army Special Forces.
Call an Army base near you and ask for the ';public affairs'; guy. He will know what is available to you. The MPs usually have some youth program available.
Another option is to contact whatever veterans organization is near you. They would be more than happy to find out what is available for someone your age who expresses interest like you.
Last but not least if none of this works check with the police. Sure it is not Army but is a start.
Good for you for thinking about this now.... I was a militray kid and knew that I wanted the military life. Keep your nose clean, keep the grades up to a reasonable level. Believe it or not but knowing history and cultures will bea big asset later. And don't get involved with the school kid crap. Those people will be long gone and forgotten the day you first put on your uniform.Military programs for teenagers?

You should get teenage girls that toy for sure.
You cant go wrong with smelly's or hair products and i think that would be within your budget. Also nail varnish or false nails.

plus jewelery is only a few dollars. like friendship necklaces or whatever
you can also bake cookies! or make candy or buy candy
its pretty cheap and if you make homemade stuff im sure they will appreciate it. or just write them a christmas card or make it and add stickers and stuff like that.Any suggestions for small christmas presents for my friends which are cute and around 拢2 - 4.Girls (Teenagers)?
well this was just for my one best friend that i did this for last year, but i made her a cake in the shape of one of our personal jokes. ok so the joke was to do with a goldfish (dont ask) so i made it in the shape of a fish and iced it really cooly :)
so you could make little cupcakes and ice a joke on top of each of them and give them out.... really small but personal and cute and costs practically nothing (except for the ingredients lol)
:)
hope i helped. :)
Fuzzy cute socks are fun
Lip gloss in a cute container (like make a little felt stocking)
A quickbread made and wrapped cute, use the small pans for individual size ones and include some tea or hot chocolate packets
A photo frame ornament
A cute mug for chocolate or coffee
I think this website is really helpful for you!

Why do teenagers keep their relationship from their parents?
I'm fourteen, and I don't have a boyfriend, but if I did I would probably tell my parents about it. My seventeen year old sister has a boyfriend and he comes over all the time. Parents should know about things like that, but it isn't necessary. If it's only been a couple days or weeks I probably wouldn't tell my parents, but if I was serious about it I would tell them. Why do teenagers keep their relationship from their parents?
Sometimes teens think their parents won't understand or that their parents will be angry. Or they may think that it's none of their parents' business and want some privacy. They may be embarrassed or confused or they may even simply not think it's that big of a deal. A big part of this is on the parents' shoulders, as well. If parents have striven to create an honest, open relationship with their children, then their children are more likely to talk about these things. My girls are pretty open with me and they're teenagers, one has a 'boyfriend'!Why do teenagers keep their relationship from their parents?
With me, it was because my mom went through the ceiling over the stupidest things. If she didnt like something someone did or said or the color of their clothing that day I wasnt allowed to talk to them anymore. Or she always wanted to fix my problems with my friends for me by calling up their parents and telling them just what their horrible child did to her perfect daughter.
Eventually I just learned that if I didnt tell her stuff, I didnt have to deal with all that crap.
in my case my dad was very abuseive %26amp; my mom was weird , my mom wouldnt have told my dad, untill i didnt do what she asked, but what she ask was a bit ridiculous,
if i had told him he would have beat me %26amp; if i had told him he was of another race the beatting would have been worse
My mom and I have always been very close throughout my teen years my father on the other hand, has always been verbally abusive, he NEVER listens to anything I say, and if you asked him what I liked he couldn't respond. I'm 19 now and we have a bad relationship.
cuz most parents dont want their teens making out or having sex or having a bf at all an if u tell ur parents u hav a bf then right away they think ur having sex. oh and also when they want to meet the guy thats kinda weird and u hav to let them meet them or else there like well y dont u want me to meet him is he bad parents r just so judgemental %26amp; questiony thats y most teens dont tell there parents
Because they think it's none of their parents' business what they do...until trouble(pregnancy, STD, etc.) strikes. Then they don't want their parents mad about it.
Teenage years are when you commonly think your parents are old and don't understand anything, so it is not uncommon that teens won't share things like that with their parents
I'm a teenager and I'mjust embarrassed to talk to them about it. It would be awkward lol :)
i dont tell my mum anything about my life since she read my diary and made it completely obvious she did
so i dont tell her as it lets her into my life
then shel just be more nosy
because most teenagers parents are tw ats like mine ;D

Why do teenagers value their cell phone so much?
It is associated with some as a lifeline for teens, but strictly speaking (I am a teen, I would know) it can be a sign of status- ie, expensive cellphone=cool. It also makes one feel connected, and maybe popular, like how many numbers we have in our Address Book. It sort of gives a sense of power, if that even makes sense. Also, it follows the trend- almost everybody now has cellphones, and if you don't, you are ';out of it.'; Which sucks, so everybody wants cellphones. Even if they barely use theirs, like me ;)Why do teenagers value their cell phone so much?
It is an easy 'distraction' from life. Life is hard. Most people constantly try to escape from 'reality'. Cell phones make daily escape easy. How sad.Why do teenagers value their cell phone so much?
Because it is their ';lifeline.'; And I think they become addicted to texting...
It's really really sad.
I'm a high school teacher, and I'm always having to take the stupid things away. They interfere with the ability of the student to focus on something actually important to their future.
My guess it is their way of staying in touch with the whole entire world.
Plus some teens don't know how to read an analog clock (for the schools that have them - and many still do) so they value their cell phones because they tell the time for them, in digital format.
I feel a little scared for the future.
Vibrate mode - 'nuff said...

A Good Way to Make Money Online (For Teenagers) ?
Well, I've been recently attempting lately to make money online, but it's not working as well as I hoped! Survey sites usually don't send many surveys, so it's difficult to make money off of those. Are there any other things I can do? I've heard of things like samplying games and such...A Good Way to Make Money Online (For Teenagers) ?
Those online jobs are scams targeting those gulliable and dillusional enough to believe earning money doesn't require talent or hardwork.A Good Way to Make Money Online (For Teenagers) ?
This ones quick and easy. All you need is a camera, and the ability to let go of your inhibitions. Ready? PORNO!!!! Taking pics of your bod is easy, and you can harge whatever you want!!
There are very few legitimate sites that will pay you for surveys or games. I have yet to see a real one . They even have sites that will pay you money if you actually find a real site.
And lastly, I hate to disappoint you but no one will hire someone underage (18 and below) online.
You don't. If you want a real job you will have to actually go to the place of employment and work there.
Very few real companies are going to hire a stranger to do work for them with no training or supervision. Most people who work from home either work for themselves, or have worked for a company for many years, and then had a personal situation arise that caused them to need to work from home. If they were trusted long-term employees, and if their jobs could be done remotely, the companies made accommodations.
If you want to earn money, you will have to get a real job. You can't earn a living answering surveys (which really just collect info on you!) on the Internet. No company is going to pay good money for that when they can simply provide a survey link on their receipts and get ACTUAL CUSTOMERS to tell them what they thought of their services or products (for free!).
Legitimate companies are not going to pay to ship materials to you, let you fold them stuff them or address them, and then pay for you to ship them back to them. How would that possibly make financial sense?

Brand-concious teenagers. What can you understand with this statement?
What are the effects of this type of teenager to all aspects in our daily life nowaday?Brand-concious teenagers. What can you understand with this statement?
Teen-agers like to make statements, period! It is not a big deal. It is a phase and will pass....Brand-concious teenagers. What can you understand with this statement?
When you go to counselling one of the best things is to learn NOT to be brand-concious--that it means NOTHING or should mean NOTHING in the big picture. People should like you for YOU, not someone else's name on your ***. If people turn you away because of it, do you really want them for friends? Surround yourself with people who are secure enough not to be that way and you'll feel better about who you are and have better friends, therefore, better relationships.
They are individuality-challanged, insecure young adults who refuse to see things for what they are and instead prefer to succumb to the universal Sameness of their own reality by branding everything they can, from friends...to clothes.
Some young and older ones achieve a measure of social status in their own mind and/or within their peer group by wearing ';acceptable'; brand-named products. Such shallow and superficial thinking, while profiting the commercial world which determines ';acceptability';, only artificially inflates the self esteem of such teenagers while also encouraging them to ignore the real value of the individuals in their community.
Excellent answer from Imaginelife, yet I'd also like to add as to ';...aspects in our daily life..,'; the financial drain on parents who succumb to it, as well too frequent hassles %26amp; injuries when ';brand'; names are stolen, %26amp; literally torn away from kids.
We all wish to fit in and many try to do this by wearing the same clothes as someone else. But we were put on this earth to try to think for ourselves. If fitting in means you can't express the inner you without fear of recrimination from others, then it isn't worth it.
Respect yourself without regard to what others think or believe about you. That is your salvation and freedom!
It has been this way forever .
The effect with brand conscious teen agers are , that the manufacturer laughs his head off.
The do not know yet that cheaper knock offs are made, but the teen agers are insecure. That's why, they buy that stuff.
I wished that all schools had uniforms, than we would not have this stupidity.
But ....';You take away their freedom'; the freedom to buy unflattering clothes .So they look all the same.
I notice that really smart kids are not impressed with ';labels';
Why limit this to teens? How about adults who have to drive a beemer or have to wear DK? Not to mention when they have to buy a house in just the right neighborhood. Maybe those ';adults'; were brand concious teens, but hopefully some grow up to prioritize their needs in a more mature way.maybelline

.... I wrote like that on purpose. But, seriously, this is nothing new. My grandmother started having kids at 14. My mom started having kids at 17. My aunt was 16. This is nothing new. It's been going on since the beginning of time. Did you know, that a couple of hundred years ago, once a girl got her period (about 12), she was married off and had kids. Still happens in some countries. Why is teenagers having baby's so early in age?
correction : why are teenagers having babies at such a young age?
my question : when will people on yahoo answers learn to spell? Why is teenagers having baby's so early in age?
well, I was 14, I've always been a really hot girl and I've never been shy and guys like that.
because many of them become characterless watching many bad movies/TV shows at early age and they couldnt control having sex. So, they have sex and end up with baby. Many stupid teens say that they are happy to have a baby without realising its consequences. But I am sure teens who dont control their feeling and have sex only after they are an adult or after marriage, will regret very much later at their age.
I think a lot of it has to do with rebellion.
And the fact that a lot of younger teens are going around throwing the word ';love'; out there like it's nothing. If they
think someone ';loves'; them, then they're probably a lot
more susceptible to the idea that it's okay to go out and
have sex. and most teens wouldn't think to use protection.
I don't really blame the parents as much. I know lots of
parents that tell their kids not to do it. But then there are
those few that just don't care what happens to their kids.
cuz there having sex way to early because this society is extremely sexually orientated. and there too dumb to use protection. i mean dang, this is how jerry springer and maury povich do so well.
LACK OF PARENTING (from their own parents)
Peer presure is one of the reasons and the boyfriend/girlfriend threting to leave and parents not talking about sex to there child
I graduated in 1983 and they were having them all over the place...nothing new about this.
I am a pregnant teen myself, 15 years old and 14 weeks pregnant. My parents pay plenty of attention to me, and my school has a very good sex ed program. It's just that i've been with my boy for 2 and a half years now, that's a long time. Wouldn't you want to have sex by then? Especially being a teen with hormones out of whack. I did use protection, but you know, those things do break. Unfortunatly, ours did break, and here i am 14 weeks preggers. Trust me though, lack of parenting and poor sex ed programs aren't always the reason. You know there is such a thing as young love? Open your minds a little bit people. And people need to stop being so judgemental also. I've seen some teens who are far better parents than people in their 30's!! It all depends on the person and how devoted they are to being a parent. Not all teens are irresponsible. I am a very responsible person, and i know i will do whatever it takes to make my baby happy and live a good life. Not all teen mothers are ';wh*res'; either. I lost my virginity to my current boyfriend of 2 and a half years, and now i am pregnant with his baby. So i've slept with one guy, and that's whose baby i'm having. Am i a wh*re? No. Again people, open your minds.
I think it have some to do with not using birth control properly, or not thinking they could get pregnant. Most kids don't think the worst can happen to them, until it does happen or it happens to someone they know.
Because more and more parents are working outside the home and allowing their kids to be latchkey kids.
The schools handing out condoms doesn't help either. Kids can't be trusted. I'm not being mean, I love kids but that's our job as parents to assume that they will misbehave and do what we can to prevent it in the first place and that's supervision and lots of love and support.
Kids just aren't getting that these days so they're looking for love in all the wrong places.
The schools aren't teaching sex education properly. They are teaching that condoms and abortion are the best answers, and parents are ignoring their teenagers altogether.
Sometimes it's because they think they're in love. Other options could be that they feel pressured to do it (Ex. If you don't have sex with me, we can't go out anymore) and in that case she might not want to leave him. Or it could be because they want to try it. But it's true--sex ed teachers do say to wait, but they also say to make sure you always wear condoms and that you'll be okay. Which isn't always true.
you know what i take that personally i am 18 and i am having my First baby. But i am also married. so i dont think it is wrong. The father an i are doing quite well so what is so wrong with that. Sometime even when people practice safe sex it happens. I practiced safe sex my first time having sex and i still got pregnant. You know you cant be harsh towards girls like that because they do have feelings and its just rude.
because they are dumb and dont know how to practice safe sex.
well they dont really meen it lyk me. but im gonna love my baby no matter wut happens.
I think most times it is the parents fault. They let their kids run wild and don't care about what they are doing. I've noticed that a lot of kids that get pregnant early have a mother that got pregnant when she was a teen, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
u know dats a gud question! i guess they dnt really think! i mean why have sex at such a young age there are so many effects behind it all!
I don't know but it's really sad
Because they are having unprotected sex too early. They need to focus on their school work more
Because thay are having sex at younger ages
coming from a sexually comfortable teen reason one is that they like sex and like me it can happen in the spur of the moment which is very passionate and they can 4get to use protection . reason 2 some teens is stupid and is so desperate 2 have sex they dont kno anything about it. theres many reasons 4 this but i speak 4 myself on this which is i always use protection.
I hope you mean ';why are teenagers having babies at such an early age?';
Maybe because dumb people like you can't read a condom packages correctly.
Dont use protection

Can chubby teenagers still grow tall, or do they have to be skinny or slim?
Although i think diet helps, it's about a 95% to 5% split of genetics to diet. I'm 22 now, and i was always a chubby kid and teenager and i still grew to 6'3.
Basically you can't choose to be tall or not, our genetics have already decided that for us.Can chubby teenagers still grow tall, or do they have to be skinny or slim?
Yes, they need to watch what they eat and exercise.
Your growth will be determined by two factors.
Genes and a proper diet. Can chubby teenagers still grow tall, or do they have to be skinny or slim?
lol yea they will, i dont htink it works like that ha. everyonewhos young enough will grow regardless of weight
hell yh im 13 stone but im 6 foot. ive always been fat. when you get to 14-15 you shoot up.

Why are teenagers trying 2 get pregnant these days?
i am a teenager trying 2 get pregnantWhy are teenagers trying 2 get pregnant these days?
DON'T!!!
Mostly because they want someone to love them. They have no concept of how much work a baby is!Why are teenagers trying 2 get pregnant these days?
peoples opinions on teen mums are terrible! im a TTC and im 19!! theres nothing wrong with it. my mum was 18 when she had me and she did a good job. She gave me the best a middle class woman could WITHOUT the help of her parents, I have grown up with manners a good education and respect.
Its nothing to do with ';wanting to be loved'; its the fact we feel we are ready. You cannot say teens are not aware of how much work is involved with having a child because I personally am fully aware with what is involved with bringing up a child - which i do not wish to reveal to the whole world!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the whole ';teen pregnancies is wrong'; is not right. I am a hard working 19 year old that does 50 hour weeks with a good income, I do not live at home and I pay my taxes like everyone else. I am physically and emotionally ready for a child and the fact Im 19 shouldnt stop me from loving and being a good mum to a child with my partner.
so with everything i have said above why should i wait 5 years to have a child that I know im now ready for?
I am not sure but there has to be a reason. Maybe it's a hormone thing. Maybe it's being selfish. There is nothing wrong with someone wanting a baby but making the choice to wain until you are ready is the right thing to do. You need to be married or in a steady relationship with someone who will not walk out on you. You both need decent jobs to pay for diapers, formula/breast pump, clothes, food, crib, stroller. Really think it through. I'm a young mom (22) I do not regret my son at all...he's my world and my guy and I have been together for over 5 years. He works full time and I work part time and I am going back to college by next fall. We have our own place and not living with parents. It takes a lot of work and sacrifices to be a parent not to mention lots of money. I don't go out often or do I get much alone time with my guy but we love being parents. My son is such a joy to us. But if you are ready to throw away your teen years go ahead. But seriously think it through...at least finish high school before even going down this road.
I totally agree with the women above me.. im 19 and i do have love. Alot of love in MY family MY hubby! And now im ready for love from MY child! Nothing wrong with it.
I think im going to do a VERY well job and i cant wait to be up late trying to feed my babie for change his diaper.
So give him baths, change his cloths.
And even the bad stuff... Take him to the doctors bc somethings wrong, GIVE BIRTH TO HIM!
You take the good with the bad.. and im ready for that.
Surely you know the answer to that, being that you are one.

What do teenagers wear in Paris in April.?
Hi could you please help me out i am going to Paris on the 10th of April and I dont know what teenagers wear over there.Could you please give me some advice and some websites.Thank you.O yeah could you like answer the question by like the 1st of april or the 7th.better the 1st.thanks again. What do teenagers wear in Paris in April.?
some ugly stuff in my opinion, lol. they wear a lot of leggins under their poofy dresses and crazy jewelryWhat do teenagers wear in Paris in April.?
Google French Teenager or go on flickr and look at the photos of people in France. When I went jeans were still pretty expensive over there so most people wore khakis, cords or
capris. Oh and if you want to blend in don't wear stuff that has
USA or US or a local college or school on it. You'll be singled out for high priced souvineirs by the shopowners.
And if you want to speak french follow their lead. The academic french we are taught in school is a small part of their language. There are many different slang phrases that they use. You may want to google that to.. Good luck!
teens are really big into stripes and mini skirts. I would buy a striped shirt and cute skirt. And they like those artist hats
pears...mmm i love pears

Why are teenagers are consious about their beauty? what are the effects towards them?
Cause society makes them think that if they don't look as good as everyone else they will be lonely and have no life and such. Therefor they will get picked on and harassed in school simply cause they don't fit into that group. Why are teenagers are consious about their beauty? what are the effects towards them?
because of all of the hormones and spots and sweating and hairs under armpits and you want to look nice and have boys take you out and things like that and then there's getting bullied in school for not looking right to someone else, I'm 17 by the way but I hated school because I didn't wear makeup and fit in

Can two teenagers of different religious background, such as Atheist and Catholic, work out? If so, how?
I'm Catholic and my husband of 19 years was an atheist. My religion was much more important to me than his was to him, and I told him before we got married that I wanted my children to be raised Catholic. He was fine with that, I have never forced my faith on him, everything is fine. By the way, he says now he doesn't know what to believe, he thinks that there must be some higher power, but he isn't sure if it's God.Can two teenagers of different religious background, such as Atheist and Catholic, work out? If so, how?
No. Tolerance will always take its toll. In the end, either one of them will have to give in to the other or they will have to part ways. Can two teenagers of different religious background, such as Atheist and Catholic, work out? If so, how?
Sure... just go to the gym together and you will be fine to work out.
Respect each others beliefs without trying to condemn the other or try to change the others.
It is almost impossible..
If you are still teenagers then why take this so seriously, just be friends and don't worry about serious things until later on in your lives.. Unless of course you need to decide upon a life mate (husband/wife) right now..
Im a 16 yr. old. Most of them don't care. However, the ones with fundie parents do.
Yes, by not talking about it, or in only in sensible, logical discussions.

Usually with weights and cardio.
It can. Don't focus on religion. It's a personal thing anyway so it shouldn't matter what someone else believes.
My theology teacher's daughter's room mate is an athiest while she is a Catholic and they get along just fine by not talking about it to each other and respecting others (dis)beliefs.
only if the sex is goodmaybelline

Where can teenagers go to hook up?
I'm a teenager and I can't really hook up with my girlfriend at either of our houses unless our parents are out, so I'm looking for places to go and hook up with her. I already know the movies of course, but those can be too public. The back of my car is perfect but it can get uncomfortable and repetitive.
Additional question: Could I get arrested for getting freaky with her in a bathroom stall?Where can teenagers go to hook up?
Actually no, you cannot get arrested for getting freaky in a bathroom stall IF the door is closed.Where can teenagers go to hook up?
Yes you can. At your age this is so complicated and I understand how you feel, you want to feel free to just do it! But unfortunately you麓ll have to wait for that. So for now, just keep doing what you麓re doing and be careful, hope she麓s protecting herself because the consequences will be devastating, believe me. Be a teenager but a responsible one.
well id say wait to hav sex cuz im one of the girlz that got pregnant and I love my daughter and all but its hard im too too too young...
but if you insist get creative(I did) cuz the car felt low class and skanky for me...the park was fun (the bathroom stall trust me u will get caught...don't try to stop the elevator ethier bc there's a call that goes to security...my bf is security at a local mall and he alwayz comes bak with halarious stories of ppl havin sex) and the police will call ur parents and if ur 18 and she's not or vice versa you will be considered a child sex offender even if it was consensual and hav to go through a huge prosess it will be horrible u will have to do it for the rest of ur life)...sex can be soooo fun but with the right person at the right time

Second. You can get arrested no in any public area
Third. Try at a friends party oor get a Van
WELL YOU ARE A TEENAGER YOU NEED JESUS APPARENTLY BECAUSE DON'T YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN GET HIM...OR HER ...PREGNANT! WHY NOT JUST DO IT THE PARK SINCE EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS YOUR BUSINESS
if you mix up or vary what you two do in your car ...that might be a better thing than getting you and her arrested ..for public indecency or exposure.
just go to like a restraunt or something. but dont get ';freaky'; with her because (1) thats disgusting and (2) you'll make a huge mistake you wish you hadn't a year or two from now
In a hotel. Get a hotel for 2 or 3 days that always works when you want to hook up ok.
If you'd be a little but more mature, you wouldn't ask this question.
i guess bathroom stall is alright.
maybe a hotel.
or just when your parents are not around?
if you're old enough; a hotel would be a good idea, but could be expensive. Otherwise, A field, in the middle of nowhere!
wait till the parents are out then go over duh
hahah ';get freaky with her';
uhm maybe like at a park?
something simple i guess
dont think to much
A friends house or a party
a park slide is always a classic...or one of my friends did it in a jcpenny dressing room....
go out in the boonies at night

Where can teenagers under drinking age go for fun around Eastpointe,Mi. for new years eve dancing, music etc?
Just have a house party. Or have alot of friends meet up in one place. Especially if your drinking, cops will be hot
How will teenagers learn to drink alcohol responsibly if adults don't show a positive role model?
I am not talking about adults who have a wee drink now and then but don't get drunk. I am talking about the adults that talk about getting drunk like it's a badge of honour.
I am talking about these people who talk to young adult at work and say things like ';your young, you should enjoy yourself and worry about these things when your older';
The bottom line is alcohol companies won't stop teenagers drinking, it makes them money. They don't make alcohol for a love of people, they make alcohol for people (any age) to drink.
So it moves to the people in the pubs and clubs. It's all fine and dandy thinking you can keep yourself to youself but thats not the truth.
You have no right to complain about teenagers drinking too much alcohol if you set that example.
So it's time people stopped making alcohol sound like a ';wonder drink'; and just look at it for what it is, a drug made with rotten vegtables that can destroy people's dreams and families if drank irresponsibly.
agree? How will teenagers learn to drink alcohol responsibly if adults don't show a positive role model?
You're preaching to the converted with me, we're all teetotal around here. I think you're right but unfortunately teenagers will always try anyhting they come into contact with unless given strong negative messages. We find it helps to take the **** out of druggies, drinkers etcetera. No young person wants to identify with a figure of fun.How will teenagers learn to drink alcohol responsibly if adults don't show a positive role model?
...who are you, really...?
Shut the F*ck up before you have a seizure you retard.
Youngsters always get smashed, its the way it allways has been and the way it allways will be that way.
Your only young once. my mum and dad drunk as teenagers.so did my nan
Yes, I will never drink. Drinking leads to nothing but failure.

How is the internet having an influence on teenagers?
1. Quick, easy stimuli, affects how patient teens and people in general are.
2. Easy access to illegal things. Doesn't CAUSE teens to buy or use illegal stuff, but makes it easier.
3. Easier way to bully - cyber bullying.
4. Easier to meet new people - good or bad, through myspace, chat rooms
5. Easier to find parties
6. Easier access to counter-cultures like gangs
7. Easier ways to gain ideas, good or bad, like learning how to make a bomb or how an engine works
8. Desensitization to violence and sex, since it's everywhere and free
9. Video game addiction - free online games or pay games
10. Lowered social skills - online is not real people
11. Constant advertisements - corporate culture, yay!
I think it affects teens the same way as anyone, but a big theme is it makes it easier to get pretty much anything and I think the internet removes us one more step from society even though it could be a way to get in touch with new ideas and cultures. How is the internet having an influence on teenagers?
easy access to information for homework, essays, projects, ect.
connects people around the world.
we can talk to people from the other side of the world
leaning more about other cultures and countries that we didnt know about before
and lots of fun stuff, like aim and youtube and all that.

Why are teenagers looked down upon?
why is it that adults seem to have an interest in trying to bust us with something. (especially in school and at times in public) it's like they're expecting us to mess up and ruin our lives already. Why are teenagers looked down upon?
1. because they are short
2. because they are so damn sexy
3. so you look down on them and see cleavageWhy are teenagers looked down upon?
I have a teenager whom I love dearly. But when I go shopping and get a teenager working behind the counter in a store, they usually are lazy and don't want to help you or treat you like they are doing a favour serving you. Most of them are rude and have no respect for adults like in the olden days. Parents have to work these days just to make ends meet and the parents haven't had the benefit of being home to raise these kids properly. They are shipped off to babysitters who don't care, but want money to look after these kids.
look at it like this. We're all just grown up kids. thats all anyone ever is. you can never learn everything. for the most part, adults are learning same as you - they're just learning different things. so because they've learned the things you are learning now, they try to do you favors by giving you boundaries so you dont make mistakes you dont know you're making. if they didnt ';catch you';, you'd learn that something is ok, that will really hurt you in the end. a lot of things come back to haunt you when you're older (it really is true). none of us know it at the time, but we wish someone had told us 'no' when we look back and regret. not to mention, by becoming older, you are automatically given the role of teacher, even if you dont want to be. you grow up and you cant help it, and younger people have to be shown, or require patience, or whatever, and you suddenly have to give it.
imagine if you had to teach 35 babies how to walk at the same time, and there are streets and cut glass everywhere. you would be overwhelmed and you would do what you had to to make sure the babies not only learned how to walk, but didnt use their new walking skills to walk into the street (which they dont know what it is), and they dont fall in glass, meanwhile, you have 35 individuals that all need your personal attention and hate you for the fact that walking is uncomfortable.
you'd do the best you can. then the babies would learn to walk and they'd grow older and they'd see why you did the things you did to make them walk safely.
it'll all make sense in the end. some are better teachers than others.
but the most important thing to know is that you'll be there someday too. its a lot different than you think.
im not saying you're a baby, im just saying that its not ';you against them';. its not. b/c in not too long, you will be ';them';, yourself.
just wait and see. we're all just grown up teenagers.
because there is too many teens that disrespect the law and are heavy in to drugs and sex that it give the good teens a bad rap. they have done that for generations,
Because of the generation gap. Your parents don't understand you. Our parents didn't understand us. In time, you'll see that you won't understand your children.

most teens I've seen are smug , self-rightous, who think they know much more than their adult counterparts -but we've been there-done that and we do know whats going on in life -so tread lightly on the adults you smear for we control the world today
Its because of stereotyping. Some teenages do something. People worry their children will do the same. I dont have kids yet but I plan to give my teenagers a chance and run their own lives with as much guidence as they request from me. Of course, im going to give more when necessary.
Teenagers have raging hormones that cause them to have fluctuating moods easily. That makes more problems for the people who have to supervise them (adults), and they know it since they've been through that age before or have teen kids of their own, so they know what to expect from most of you. Teens are also at the stage of life where they are beginning to explore their social identity and therefore their personalities are not very stable either.
While still young at age, you are under the supervision of your parents and under the supervison of adults.
jtm
probably because of how you look. according to your avatar you are ugly...
It's because this generation is kind of expected to be doing something illegal. But yeah, it does stink when you're not doing a thing and they get all on you. Like all of my teachers probably assume my boyfriend and I are freaks, but we're actually the most modest couple. I think a lot of the time, we all just freak out over adults though. I mean that's our job as teenagers isn't it? I think we notice it more when we're getting all rebel like.

Can someone tell me how to screen my teenagers yahoo email?
Can someone tell me how I can screen my teenagers yahoo email if the only info i know is his screen name...not his password. Is there a way I can view his incoming and outgoing emails? Can someone tell me how to screen my teenagers yahoo email?
you need to know the password.
But if he finds out youre spying on him, he'll just make another e-mail address.
My parents tried spying on me when I was younger. I wan't that bad of a kid, but I always felt like there was someone looking over my shoulder. I now resent them because of the lack of privacy. I was trying to grow up and become my own person but instead I felt like a prisoner and a child. And every day that they tried to sneak through my diary and e-mail, i became more and more distant.
just think about that before you spy. if he's in harm, then by all means, go through his stuff. but if he's just an average teen, let him be.
=]Can someone tell me how to screen my teenagers yahoo email?
I don't believe there is, although, if I may ask, do you have a reason for wishing to screen his emails? Teenagers usually don't want their parents reading their stuff- it's not a lack of trust or that they're hiding something, it's just them being teenagers. If you have a reaosn to suspect he is recieving/sending something inappropriate, I would suggest contacting a Yahoo! administrator to see what you could do, but if there's no reaosn to be suspicious, I'd leave his emails alone. Teenagers ought to be allowed a reasonable amount of privacy and trust.
1. I don't think so if you don't have the password....
2. BAD MOM!!!
3. I mean, I don't know anything, or if they're in trouble or whatever, but seriously, do you know what it feels like to know your journal isn't safe, your room isn't safe, your phone calls aren't safe, and now even EMAILS AREN'T PRIVATE!? .... not cool.

Where do teenagers party harder Canada or USA?
I have lived in both Toronto, Ontario, Canada and am currently living in Charlotte, NC, USA. It seems to me like all my friends in Canada party way harder but it could just be because of where I live in the U.S. what do you think??Where do teenagers party harder Canada or USA?
Canadians party younger
(lol)Where do teenagers party harder Canada or USA?
Maybe you haven't found the right hard-party friends!
I have a friend that lived in Canada for a year, and he said that they do party a lot up there, but beer costs a lot more!
I live in Charlotte and we party all of the time. Check this side out. These guys coordinate bar crawls all of the time... and they are a blast!

Im in high school man (grade 11), and just moved from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to California, USA. I cant GUARANTEE you teens party harder in Canada. I am saying this first hand. I've lived in both places. To be honest, I wanna go back to Canada! haha
Well in Canada our drinking age is lower so i think we start earlier and its easier for us to get booze. One american guy i know now living in canada says we do party harder here. but ive met quite a few americans that certainly know how to party hard!
They do party harder in Canada because the drinking age is 18 or 19 depending on your province. Canadian teens have an easier time getting alcohol.
We Canadians know how to party and live it up. We even party on Mondays when USA citizens are complaining about how there is 4 more days to the weekend. Party hard bro!!!!!
Canadians party harder yo.

Why do teenagers join groups?
Not like dangerous gangs but you know those girls/or guys that join those groups with 3 letter abbreviations like L.C.I or T.Y.M or X.M.Whatever letter comes next. It's those little teenager gangs that usually host foam parties or serve alcohol to underage kids that are 13-17? A lot of teenagers are in it and everyone wants to be in one. Why do teenagers join them and what do they do that makes it so important? Why do teenagers join groups?
young man there's no need to be down
You don't need money to have a good time
It's fun to join the Y M C AWhy do teenagers join groups?
To belong and fit in. Teenagers want to do what others are doing. They want to be popular. There is pressure to join and be like the other students. I don't say all teenagers because there are some who won't conform. Believe it or not, there are teenagers who will not join groups. Every adolescent is different.
Peer pressure, insecurity ( they are still developing identity as an individual ), mass psychology ( feeling safe in groups )...
To feel involved to fit in, to make friends and do something they think is fun. Ask some of these teens in the group.
I guess they want to be apart of something.
because of peer pressure

Why are teenagers so lazy to clean their room?
i have 2 teenagers and it seems they love to live in a pigpen and i cant understand how they can find thier things there too but they do!....Why are teenagers so lazy to clean their room?
It isnt a priority to clean our room. I'm 17 n my room is so messy! But I know where EVERYTHING is... When I clean it, I cant find a thing...Why are teenagers so lazy to clean their room?
I wasn't exactly messy or a neat freak. I had clothes on the floor, usually after I wore them and changed, some paper balled up and my bed unmade. It never got to the point mysterious creatures crawled out of my room or it stunk so bad you could smell it outside though.
The next time your kids ask you to clean something that was already clean but they tossed it in the floor, or whatever it is they misuse, simply refuse to clean it. I say let it manifest itself and maybe your kids will clean their rooms.
because some teens feel they are too old to be doing stuff for that. They just want to hang with friends.
I was the same way (and still am). It's not that they're lazy it's just that they aren't neat freaks who judge people based on how clean or dirty their room is. To me, a clean room looks like nobody lives in it.
I think they like to go out or play computer games...Maybe they think that someone will help them clean up their room for them, so they can ignore it...maybelline

Any Ideas for a SUPER SCARY hayride for teenagers?
Having a 16 year olds bday party this weekend and need some ideas for a super scary hayride. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!Any Ideas for a SUPER SCARY hayride for teenagers?
Take the hayride into a graveyard and the lights ';fail';, when the lights are ';fixed'; have someone standing there with a chainsaw....scares the googles out of the ';tough, I am not scared'; teenagers.Any Ideas for a SUPER SCARY hayride for teenagers?
if it is wagon any I which can do in you likes calling, ';China fireball.'; establishes it and please rolls in the fire it down the hill. It will frighten the feces to collect the thing outside the child.
If there's a team of horses involved, you don't want to be too scary. If the horses spook, it could turn into a very scary and dangerous hay ride.
Have someone dress up like Dick Cheney. That'll scare the bejeebers out of everyone.
Pay a homeless guy to hide in the hay naked
Use a stunt person to pretend to be out of control and about to ';jump'; and scare the crap out of everyone

Why do teenagers think it's really cool/funny to be loud, obnoxious & rude in public?
To Christina - instead of being a loud obnoxious little git, maybe you should rub a couple of brain cells together or two and THINK about what you're doing before you do something in public.
Yes, I was a teenager - did I do foolish things? Sure. Was I obnoxious and loud? I guess, but I did have someone come up to me and said that wasn't appropriate behaviour. I DID have someone take the time to explain to me that being rebellious in public was a natural way to deal with the fact that I wanted to find a place in the world. That person was my dad and he was a cop. He told me this because when I was young because he didn't want to see me get into trouble. He also taught me that I should think about other people's feelings. It made me a better person. So instead of just saying ';well we don't really pay attention to adults.';, maybe you should. I know that if you pay attention to us, then we'll be more likely to pay attention to you...and for the right reasons. Why do teenagers think it's really cool/funny to be loud, obnoxious %26amp; rude in public?
because they're are inmature, hectic and confused.
Why do teenagers think it's really cool/funny to be loud, obnoxious %26amp; rude in public?
Okay, heres the deal.
I am a teenager at the moment, I am 16.
Now, first of all, the first answer is completly the stupidest thing i have ever heard. They shouldn't say sh*t like that because obviously they have been a teenager before !
Okay , now , back to the point.
We don't try to be rude, loud , etc. in public.
We just tend not to think about other peoples wishes.
Also, not all teenagers are like that.
I am probably somewhere in the middle, cause I love to go out and have fun. And I am sometimes loud in public.
But I also think that sometimes teenagers are wrong in the way they behave, BUT I also think that some adults are over exaderating at the same time.
Adults that just complain about teens all the time have nothing better to do and they should just take the stick out of their a ss. Because face it, they were once a teenager too.
Back in the day when, as a teenager I was riding my dinosaur to school, I was loud and obnoxious because I thought I was witty and cool, and wanted to be appreciated by others -who I was positive- thought I was witty %26amp; cool as well.
:-)
Not all Teenagers are like that. It's just that in this day and age parents seem to not teach matters, respect, or decency. the world is on a slow path to hades because of it
Blame the 60's the revolutionized the idea of ';I'm gonna get mine, forget about my family, I come first, FREEDOM';
It's natural to us.
But some of us, like me, choose to be classy and mature. We're the ones who are quiet and look very proffesional in public.
Because they are immature and always want to have a good time! I was loud and obnoxious when I was a teenager. Lol...
Because they don't care if you are bothered by it. They don't think it's cool, they are just messing around and having fun.
Teenagers only want to be looked at by other teenagers. They think it's a right of passage.
Because they are teenagers, the bottom end of the evolutionary scale.
Because they've probably seen drunk adults behave that way, and so they think that will make them adult.
1's answer is perfect.
