I think it may be a comfort thing. Unfortunately, my husband does it when he is overtired. It may be that those teenagers aren't that secure with who they are or have some stress problems that they just can't deal with. Many of them probably don't realise they are doing it!!

I honestly don't know. Its something Ive been annoyed by for years. I don't get the point. I think its because it makes them look ';hard';. Id love to see someone with their hands down their pants fall over and not get their hands free in time.
